On the Way to the Hundred Islands

March 17, 2012

Everyone is excited to get on board but not until everyone feels that the vehicles are not enough to accommodate everyone. So, the SBC contacted additional transportation vehicle so everyone will not be mad but everyone could be comfortable. 2AM must be the departure of everyone but it was already 3AM when the cars started to go out of the school premises.

The car I was riding on went through the Magsaysay road while the others through Bokawkan. Those are different routes going down to Kenon Rd. The thing is that the four vehicles waited for us but they don't know we were already in Kenon Rd. So, when we knew that they were left behind, we stopped somewhere in Kenon Rd. for a while and waited for them. Hay, another waiting moment.

After all the vehicles met somewhere in Kenon and the vehicles were ready to go, the voyage began and it went on smoothly until one of the vehicles had its tire flat. We were in San Fabian this time. All the vehicles, then, stopped again and helped the other car fix the problem. Another moment of waiting. While waiting, some bought "pandesal (bread)" to ease their hunger and irritation. It was already 6AM then - 3hours travel but we just reached San Fabian, it's because of those moments of waiting.

While on the way, I kept on singing different songs. While my companions were sleeping, I was the only one who was very alive and active in our "vessel". I was just making myself busy so I would not feel the irritation due to the waiting - waiting.

After the event of waiting in San Fabian, when we got to the inner part of Alaminos, we got lost this time. We had several U-Turns and query to the people on the road. We were trying to contact some of our companions from the other vehicles but it just annoyed me because I can't understand what they were saying. We asked "where are you?", then one say, "we're in the city hall", after a while when we reached City Hall we asked, "where are you?", "we already went ahead". Hmf.

We were also destructed by the Directions of the Sign Boards in Alaminos, Pangasinan. The sign board says that the 'Hundred Islands' is to the 'right' but it is very early to announce it because we already passed by at least five right ways before we reached the right way to the Hundred Islands. They should take a good care of it before many travelers and tourists got lost.

Finally, after all those things, we reached the place. What an exhausting trip!!!
